Qingdao

A view of Qingdao at seven in the morning today...

This picturesque city in eastern Shandong province has a strong German flavour (see history), currently many Korean businessmen, and will host the sailing events for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

North Shandong Province

Today the site is not blocked for a change, so time to quickly publish a blog! It's been a month exactly, but during China's National Holiday my family and I took a trip to Shandong's Yantai, Weihai, and the province's most eastern point. Weihai was the best stop. Even tough the water was too cold for swimming, this coastal city is quiet, has plenty of beaches, and best of all, terrific air quality. Because of these and its proximity, Weihai is a favourite destination for Koreans, which is evident by its many Korean shops and restaurants.
Definitely worth a visit; I'll let the pictures do the talking...
